ABOUT ME
My name is Amaya Bailey, and I’m a Virginia State Certified Doula, trained through Germanna Community College. I am committed to providing informed, empowering, and supportive care to the families I serve.
My journey into doula work began long before formal training, when I supported my own sisters through the powerful transition into motherhood. I spent early mornings caring for newborns so their mothers could sleep, and I helped around the house so they could rest and heal. Those quiet, tender moments revealed just how deeply support can impact a new parent’s experience, and I knew I wanted to offer that same care to others.
As a doula, my philosophy is simple: you deserve to feel empowered, educated, and truly cared for. I take a collaborative, informative approach, offering evidence-based information and compassionate support while honoring your unique values and preferences. I show up with gentleness, sincerity, and deep respect for the sacredness of your birth and postpartum journey.
